Wetland Gamebird Feathers and Maybe a Hare or Two

Print Post
Hi all - I'm out again here in the Wairarapa to give more of the local Canadas a curry-up and maybe also a hare or two if that is their destiny Roll Eyes. Could be some mallards or parries get harvested as well - time will tell  Roll Eyes.
If my current success rate holds, and I have a good day at it again, and if anyone is needing feathers: -CDCs, wings, or strips of mallard flank or breast etc (I will lightly salt and fly-spray them to last the duration of posting) or any feathers from Canadas, or a freshly-dried hare skin - just pm me. I'm happy to post to you (in NZ).
I'm also prepared (within reason) to skin the odd bird or two in its entirety and lightly salt and spray for mailing off - please don't ask me to skin out a dozen though - takes up my time set aside for fishing after hunting  Wink
I currently just roughly pluck breast and flank of most of the birds (currently over 100 Canadas and some 180+ ducks for this season) to give the feathers surplus to my own fly-tying needs to friends with whanau who make Korowai - but I'm quite happy to spread the wealth.
Tight lines all.
