Hi all, I have been on the lookout for a new rifle for some time now and have my sights set on a BSA majestic. I'm sure there are some knowledgeable people on this forum so am asking if you guys have any info on them, any recommendations to look for etc.
I have decided on a majestic as i hear they are very lightweight, reliable rifles. I am not an overly big lad so lightweight is a must. I understand that these are older rifles so do not expect to buy a perfect rifle, in fact a rifle that needs some work on it would be a perfect project for me.
As for caliber i am not fussed and am open to options; this will be a second rifle after all.
I look forward to any replies and if you happen to have a majestic tucked away somewhere that you are thinking of selling feel free to message me.
thanks heaps BH08

@bushhunter08 Nice choice. Used to have one years ago when I was starting out in .243. Lovely rifle, regret selling it. Main thing I'd check is the bore. There's a few up for sale on the guncity website at the moment.
I was storing a BSA BENTLEY .270W for someone, Unused for decades but looked ok at the time. As I didn't have enough room it's now been stored by someone else. I know my friends daughter would be keen to sell. If you're interested let me know & I'll chase it down. text me to get a faster reply. 021856550 Alan

Nomads, that is not a Majestic. the picture is of a later version,ie. a Monarch. I am sitting on an original Majestic, purchased new in 1961. Cheers all, have a good evening.

I've got one. A BSA Majestic featherweight. Weighs 7lb exactly including scope and rings. Points like a wand. It's in .308. I wanted one in .243 but havnt come across one that didn't have the bore pitted. It's a good hunter. I took it out for its first hunt and shot a deer with it in the first 20 minutes. Next trip I got three.
