Just to give poor old NZSECRETSERVICE a bit of relief from seeing his name at the top of the Small Game Section , we are inviting anyone to to post any scenic photo of their workplace, or any place you spent a lot of time....
This one ws taken at bout 7 am looking North over the airport at Tekapo toward Mt Edward and Burkes Pass. Everything was wet with dew. A cool night after an Easterly change last night.
Looking more North toward the top of Lake Tekapo.

Im using https://imgur.com/ to post these pics Rumpy. Its free to join, not much advertising, and after a little lead in time easy to use. The big advantage is the good pic quality it brings.
It takes a couple of minutes to sign up. If you posted that pic again using Imgur ill bet you would see it sharpen up with no extra effort.

The thing is Image Hut is not reproducing the photos in the best quality possible with whatever photo its feed. Its in the programme itself and how it crunches data. Anyway moving on..
Heres one that captures the big vistas in the Mackenzie.

And there is a story attached - we were having a coffee on the verandah when my son's pet white dove took off that had been sitting on the verandah railing. It dipped below our raised verandah, then we saw (or half imagined) a brown blur and the dove didn't pop back into view. I stood up and the dove was lying there on the ground ......... WTF ? So I went down and as I picked up the dead dove, the above chap took a step away and that was the first I saw him - standing there on the ground four feet away.
"Hey sweetheart, have a look at this."
And she got her camera ..............

You did too. Well done. Im going to post a few more too. This place has become the Gobi Dessert of color and life as shown in pictures.
A pic is worth a thousand words as they say. If youve got any old pics from the ''old days'' post them too. They are always of interest.
Same photo, different filter.
Looking from the ''Whalesback'' toward the ''Seven Sisters'' and Mt Cook would be still taller than all of them in the background if not for the cloud.
Pity bout the pet Dove. At least it died a quick one. Something we can all aspire too.

I've never hunted country you are showing, in fact I've never seen it except for in photos - remarkable place. Where's the grass ?
That dove's death caused a bit of a ruckus ......... "What d'yer reckon sweetheart, may as well let him have it." "What the hell are you thinking, that was your son's pet." "Yeah .... but he's dead."
its remarkable alright SF90. Theres even pigs starting to appear around the fringes.
At certain times of the years we have some unusual blooms, not just the well known Lupins.
The Riverbed. Taking some visitors for a walk with a .22 Its pretty much cowboy country down here. Lots of fishermen and campers in odd places at odd times so caution is advised.
