Nice BC . Sounds like one you wouldn't have recovered without the dog? No blood trail...what calibre was it shot with?

Nah, wouldn't have found it without a dog. I had just about given up.
7-08 and 120 Nosler BT @ 3k fps. Didn't pass through. Huge internal bleeding but not a drop on the ground except for where it ended up.

Max, this is the near side shoulder opened up flipped back. There was a good hole through the shoulder and ribs through into the clock works.

This week Tilly reached the milestone of 200 deer shot with me. 11 years 9 months. I will post pics when I have the patience to wrestle with the pic program.

A bit of time has passed since the last "Tilly" post. She is 12 now and 3 weeks ago had a couple of naughty tumours removed from her breast. She's back on her feet again and last evening we shot our 210th deer together. I hope that there will be a few more.

Update on Tilly. We shot our first L3 deer last night. You can see that she gave it a bit of a scuffing - thats the pent up L4 holiday coming out.
Tilly's #224 with me.
