Well with a bit of time on my hands I decided to put together a video of 15 items I also take with me on a hunt.
I know a lot of guys on here will think its a lot of crap to carry around the hills but it seems to work for me.

The 15 items are:
1. Bushedge binocular harness
2. Minox 8.5 x 43 binoculars
3. Sig Sauer Kilo Rangefinder
4. Garmin 62S GPS
5. Silva Compass
6. LED Lenser H14R.2 head lamp
7. Uniden 5W hand held radio
8. Hand saw
9. Gopro Hero 9
10. Canon SX60 HS camera
11. Gerber Folding knife
12. Moroko 30 folding knife
13. KTI Safety Alert EPIRB
14. First Aid Kit
15. Lowa Ranger III GTX boots

What are your must take items when you hit the bush?
For those that are interested I have attached the link to the video

Too often we enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.......

Rifle and ammo + knife ?

Still out here in the wind and rain, look a little older but I feel no pain...

Not as specific as your list but mine for public land is generally:
1. Health n Safety
2. Hunting stuff and meat recovery stuff
3. Sleep system
4. Clothes system
5. Boots for the job
6. Rifle and shooting stuff
7. Navigation
8. Food n water

The specific gear I take always depends on the following things:
1. Weather
2. Length of trip
3. Solo or with mates
4. Above the bush line or below the bush line
5. North Island or South Island
7. Winter, shoulder or summer
6. Pack weight

Easier for me to think like this because thereís too many variations on this to think of, Iíve probably missed a couple categories here too  Smiley
