Fishing "luck" with kids

Hi guys and gals
I've been taking my kids fishing in lakes, rivers and off the rocks and haven't had any luck. I see my kids starting to loose their excitement and motivation to go fishing with me.
My plea to all of you is to help me find a spot where i am almost 100% guaranteed to have them catch something bigger than a common bully.
I am based in North Canterbury and am willing to travel.
Thanks in advance
Pat

Ashame you're not in the North Island, wee have this wee gem called Kuratau Dam, out of Turangi which is absolutely JAM PACKED with rainbows and browns, it's encouraged to take your limit of 10 and it's easily achievable for someone with virtually no skill level at all, that and the browns can reach trophy proportions and the rainbows average between 2-4lb... AND it's open to the end of June!
