great you have an area sorted.....now find a .12ga to use.....highly recommend good old rusky Bakails.....even old rusty ones do the bizo..... plenty of good killing light payload loads that wont boot you around.....they are loud but not bootish.

Bill Axbey loved the smaller guages too...my comment to get a .12ga was more to make getting amunition easier, now steel/non toxic is needed the smaller guages will be even more expensive to feed. personally I have shot a heck of alot of game with the mighty .410 overthe years....its ALL about sorting a decent load for YOUR GUN and placing the pattern in right place good luck for the big weekend.be sure to report back on how it went for you.

yea about gun ammo still if i go an where short of winning lotto it will be a 20 bore , , must say as far as the birds go im not expecting any thing fancy as i think the bird numbers here at the moment are way way down, maybe as low as 10 percent of numbers about last year so rock bottom
if i get 3 birds im going to be happy
plus with the weather being fine and sunny with no wind its going to be all over by 9 o'clock
whatever bring it on its what we do , we will be trying to be out there good luck all

Would it be worth shooting from a gunboat on the harbour?if so I could take you out on my one later in the season depending on tides and weather, just a 12ft parkercraft with scissor blind and 8hp outboard.
