Duckshooting Delayed

Duckshooting will be permitted on the 2nd weekend after level 2 status. That may be June if we sit at level 3 for 4 or more weeks. Anyone have a more educated guess of liklihood of getting a shooting season in?

I'd say most likely it will happen they wouldn't have changed legislation amd amended policy for nithing .If if we continue abiding the law at The moment it will likely be eradicated almost completely this Corona virus

boat has had paint applied
kayak been cleaned down and bum of it painted twice, the seam along edge resealed/screwed...must take it out this season, just love shooting ducks from it later in season.
callers have been quacked or honked through
lanyards....now there is a job I can do....bit of para cord and spring from a biro works well....

The numbers don't necessarily come from New cases ... sometimes a probable case the day before is a confirmed case in the coming days . As long as the people who have it stay home and don't transmit then we should be fine....the goverment government should be coming oit with if u are out of your house so to speak travelling ib the community then I will imprisoned immediately. That would take care of some of the idiots out there.

decoys came back out again this morning...had brain flash in middle of night about my handpainted spoonies.....there is metallic blue nail polish around here somewhere..... a couple of very light dobs and a VERY light brush across heads has given me the blue tinge with mettalic sheen over the base slate grey...very BLING indeed.....
little canoe has been regigged, the sides were getting verythin and cracked where too much force had been applied in previous years...ply on inside, sheet tin on outside, screwed together has firmed it up very well.Daughter is having a ball painting it.

yes if you have it or some one in your bubble or close enough has a maybe on it ,

other than that  as your car is part of your bubble  going for a little drive  with no contact with others  in my book should be fine , but then its all about the what ifs and you need emergency services etc

lol, trying to not get fatter...and to stay quieter Mate.....needed time out so didnt say anything (by signing off it physically prevented it)I might regret later.sometimes its better to retreat and regroup than to go off nut.....well I hope it is anyway.

you know those wind driven wing spinners???? the ones we never seem to get quite enough wind to make work....well mine is up in back yard and has been going constantly for two days Angry Angry Angry you just have to laugh at the irony. Grin Grin

surely it has to be an oversight......
I can overnight for work..stay out of town if carting stock...so whats less safe about putting up tent???

The Prime Minister has announced the restrictions for Level 2 today and it is very good news for game bird hunters.
Retail stores will be open with some social distancing restrictions
You can travel to your maimai to make preparations
You can travel nationally and stay overnight while following public health measures
You can use boats
Public conservation land will be open for game bird hunting but DOC huts and camping grounds have some guidelines
Maintain social distancing from people you don't know and keep a record of everyone you come in to contact with
Your hunting group is not restricted but the smaller the group the better
Hunt safely in areas that you know and do not pose obvious risk
Avoid sharing equipment with others
Be safe in all your interactions as much as you possibly can
If you are sick or have any symptoms as minor as a runny nose - Stay home
On Monday May 11, the Prime Minister will likely make an announcement about the timing of a move to Level 2. We will confirm the season commencement date as soon as we can after that. We will also advise any extensions to seasons on a regional basis as soon as practically possible.

Thats great news, I haven't hunted ducks for a number of years but will never forget those opening mornings waiting in the dark listening to ducks landing on the pond,  before you can start shooting.
