man it says ban on non essential travel...... now I dont know about you....but opening weekend of duck season IS ESSENTIAL for my mental health and the continuation of my marrage and ability to work...so IF some numb nuts wants to come and visit me while Im out shooting ducks with a shotgun and tell me to go home.... .I will simply inform them completely honestly that I am home...after all home is where the heart is.... Im not visiting others,Im not calling into anybodys work place...Im all alone with a few good mates putting meat in the freezer.....or I might just tell them to piss off.

Its all about "Intent". (I hope). But there's plenty of numb nuts about who could f**k things up. Certainly, undertaking an activity by yourself, or with someone you live with, with no external contact with other people, and not infecting stuff that other people may come into recent contact with, should be fine. Here's hoping.
I'm based in Wellington so very happy with this definition as it includes the Wairarapa (not many ducks to legally hunt without armed offender squad getting involved in the city)
Big caveat is I feel there will be more definition to come around Level2 and hopefully they allow some leeway here to cross boundaries, I imagine that would be very important for Auckland/Waikato.

I'm hoping they lax the travel restrictions too but can't see it so have started scouting locally to Hastings. My dog and all my decoys are in the Wellington region though.
