Keep em in the sea till you need them Smiley You won't have any difficulty picking up a feed whenever you want one. Or take a smoker and smoke them them. When there were tarpaulin huts with open fires we would hang a leg joint up in the corner of the fireplace away from the heat and just leave it there getting smoked. Would last half the trip anyway.

What month are you going.?   One way to keep venison is to coat the meat with a brine.  Boil cup vinegar, , tablespoon sugar, tablespoon salt, cool, brush over meat.  As tantrim said, most blocks access great fishing so no need to catch more than you can eat.

Best way is ice mate, if you are lucky enough to be crossing over with Ian on aurora charters he can provide you with some crushed ice and a chilly bin. Was down pegasus a month ago and it lasted the whole trip. Thousands of rats on the island at the moment so give them hell
