The top lines of airrifles have good triggers. The cheap one I bought earlier was a horrible thing.Sold it pretty quick. If you want a realy good pistol try one of the preharged models. Have thought about carrying one of those when out rabbiting for the very close ones.

I did did see some for sale a while back on one of the airrifle specialists in NZ. If you look at an american retailer online there are dozens of them in different styles for sale.

we used one of the co2 ones years back...great fun but a decent break open rifle was way more effective...the pistols didnt have alot of range as velocity wasnt great, you still need pellet going fast enought to ream rat when it arrives.5 yards good,15 yards, not so much.

Plenty of power in a pcp pistol for rats.  I know of a guy with one that drops cows and deer out to 100m with his.  Don't think he shoots rats with his though

Use Subbies, shorts fx the chamber of a LR.

I use a Zoraki 22 air pistol for shooting live caught stuff. I use the rocket pellets which is a steel ball in a lead skirt. Three pumps gives about 500 fps. Good for cats and gferrets and I have shot rabbits with it out to 10 - 15m. Short sight radius makes it harder to shoot pin pricks with but is accurate and works well. Love it and so transportable in a day pack/ bike carry box. Youngs Airgun Centre are the people to talk to. Air experts.
