Due to what I was given at the buy back I can afford a little more than I thought - is anyone able to enlighten me around the Tikka TX1 rimfires. Serious shooters have them for $1079 which is a good price.

I think Iíve settled on a CZ455 Luxe - money being transferred today hopefully I might go and pick it up tomorrow - nice looking rifle walnut and blue with open sights as well which Iíve always kept on all my rifles.
Did some research on tx1 v CZ v Ruger precision including handling them all. Ruger quite a heavy wee beast, very tactical looking. Tikka was front heavy due to the plastic stock and fact that the chassis seems to be standard Tx3 dimensions. Itíd be even more so with a suppressor on it.
They can all shoot very well but the CZ seems to be that little bit more so and some of the comparisons were from American shooters - we all know how they like American made weapons over anything else so that was telling...
Canít wait to take it out for a shot or several hundred now....

Hereís the update;
Am I happy or what.
A full clean, 3x5 shot groups with a clean in between and at 75y Iím touching all shots if I do my bit right.
Iíve got some drop charts of the net and next trick is to shoot out to 200Y - my scope should be able to cope with the hold over.
I used to think my Sterling was a reasonable shooter but this CZ is next level.
I tried to hit an 8 inch plate at 200Y but I didnít have the drop chart so I was definitely shooting under,  it I think this is going to be a lot of fun.
Iím using CCI 40gr Hi-Max as thatís what Iíll hunt with.
Iíve also got some CCI subs and I might see how that groups under 100Y
