hi hunters, I'm looking for somewhere to head in the north island away with the misses, with semi decent accommodation and the chance of catching a pig. Not too worried if the hunting is average just somewhere to get away and see some different country.

happy to pay for the accomodation of course but not after guided hunting ect. have my own shit proof dogs but currently looking at one of the timber trail lodges in Pureoras

but does anyone else have any idea? feel free to pm me if you want to, cheers

Missus and I sometimes stay in the cottage at Sika Lodge and hunt in Kaingaroa.
It was 100 per night last time we were there. Cosy and clean.
They are fine with dogs as long as they’re kept tied up/in the box.
You can run them just up the road in the native.
