I have a bsa 30-06 that I shortened slightly and put on a dot suppressor.
The barrel has a slight bit of pitting in it, is there anything i can do to improve the barrel?

If it shoots acceptably well use it and keep it clean , if it doesn't shoot get it rebarreled , you cant fill in the pits , make sure the crown is perfect .

Shooting is the most fun you can legally have with your clothes on .

The lazy do not roast any game, but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.
