Good show , The Aciphylla stream is well named , it looked full of  Spaniard grass ( Aciphylla sp )

The reality of promoting a minority sport in a small country?
To be fair I agree, but is that price to have an hour of my favorite pastime on mainstream TV. If so I can handle it.

I really enjoy some of the product placement, some of it ive never heard of, and opens my eyes up to some new technology. Its cool to see it in scale and use with people, as opposed to a picture if it with a white backround somewhere on the interwebs.

As well as that i can live vicariously through the tv, through greg and willies eyes, through thst sweet sweet unobtainium swaroski gear 😂😂😂

+1

but the content of the show is starting to get pretty average now so mayby shinny new things everywhere helps distract viewers not to change the chanel.

Really? I reckon it's as good as it's ever been. Although not much hunting last episode it showed us some awesome country, Adams Wilderness Area's a bucket list of hunting for me.

It was a hunting trip. Over a spectacular route that I'll never do. Done on foot, as far as the raft bit.
And the killing bit was pretty typical.
Its not all 13+ inch tahr etc
not sure what else you can expect
Bloody good show, as always IMO

well worth the watch. Looking forward to it.  Smiley

Have we turned into the age of the super critical. Its everywhere..

Look at it this way. Its free, it took a lot of time, effort and planning to make , the content is excellent, it shows a lot about hunting that most Kiwis will never get to experience, its good for hunting in NZ..

Stay positive in yourself.  Smiley

Its a good show, not bagging it but for the NEW Series the first obe was one of the boring ones. Thought i was watching a mountain climbing show for awhile there and these epic adventures were great in the last series but its getting the same old feel about it with these five day tramps., like watching a repeat in a different location.
Im sure it will get better, and theres going to be some great shows to come but i certainly wasnt blown away for the first one.
The second one was better, product sponsers i didnt mine as  gotta pay the bills somehow.
It wasnt better because animals were actually seen and shot, just better infor and abit more interesting than 40 mins of a hour show watching them tramp and climb in areas the average joe blog that hunts is never going to do  and we seen it all before.
As soon as pack rafting comes on again i change channels until it ends ......doesnt do anything for me as seen it, watched it  before

Stop being average Joe then.

Rather watch that than shooting easy deer.  You sound like a hunting Aotearoa type.

You realise hunting is the same thing over and over again.  Like saying this time in rugby they should pass the ball forward for a change.

I think the show / doco's are very well done. The only request I have is to suggest a little more time is allocated to describing the routes taken and the planning that goes into this aspect of hunting.
