Boat advice please

I am looking to change from my Fyran 4m to something around 5m . I have a budget of around $12k. It would be mainly for fishing both east and west coast (weather permitting)  I was thinking probably fibreglass such as bonito 16ft or a stead craft or along those lines. . I know very little about boats an any advice would be appreciated.

A well cared for, older Haines Hunter, would be my pick, or maybe a Seacraft Valencia. Both good boats in my experience, of fishing  from them in Cook  Strait.

Get as close as you can, then get a bit closer.

You could get a used fc430 for about that coin. Great fishing rig and heaps sturdier than a frypan

Keep the wind in your face and your freezer full.
