Henry

What in particular is it looking for? This is not a small subject so a bit of background may help guide you to what you want.

Thanks. I was looking for the equivalent knowledge base as I would get from reading Brian Litzís extenal ballistics book.

I am unaware of a single source such as BLs book.

Start with some online reading. There is a lot online (in pieces). Google internal ballistics and start filtering. Look at bibliographies as you go. Most of the major ammo component manufacturers have good info on their sites. Just apply the bullshit filter and think carefully about what you are reading. also, sort thru the suggested topics at the bottom of each page

This is a good start but there are hundreds of good web pages.

Some pointers here http://forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/anyone-recommend-a-book-on-interior-bal...

I laud your enthusiasm. When I went looking, back when I was keen to bone up on it, the bits I read said to me the topic is dry as old boots. Quite the opposite IMO to external ballistics. I get some exposure thru Quickload but not the deep theoretical stuff that starts me nodding off Smiley

Yep but this is the "engine room" for all that comes after. Get to grips with this somewhat "boring" topic and you will be in a far better place to take full advantage of your personal ballistic device.

Unfortunately, it is not as attractive as external ballistics nor is it as linear. Therefore, f-all books etc but if you search you will learn. We spent several million just to learn what happens in the chamber of our 12.7mm PR between trigger break and projectile entering the rifling and still have heaps to learn! Undecided Undecided Undecided
