Hi looking at working a load up for my T3 308 with a 16inch barrel looking at a 168 ELD-M or a tip match king
So any help with were to start

Hey I use 45gr of 2208 behind the 168gr amax, lapua brass.
Mv of 2520fps from a 16 inch barrel ruger. Shot  40 plus deer with it out to 450 yards comfortably many bang flops. Avoid the main shoulder bone with the eldm too I'd say. Had a 3 not penetrate and oddly not up close but around the 150 to 200 yard mark is where all 3 happened.

A well know match load uses 42Gr ADI-2206H and a 168Gr Sierra Matchking in heavy Federal brass. This will give you a good starting point to work from and with the 2206H you should get a nearly complete powder burn in your 16" barrel.
This is generally a very accurate load for most rifles but not very fast
