Sako 85 Finnlight in 7mm08

Hello there,

Just treated myself to a Finnlight in 7mm08.

Someone out there must be reloading for them.

I want to use the 162 Amax as I have over a thousand of them left!

Any hints or tips appreciated.

Thanks

I contemplated that.......advice was the action length was too short for full range of projectiles.... Grin

The short magazine length will mean you are seating the projectiles a long way from the rifling, which then means reduced case capacity. So you arenít getting the best from the pointy projectiles.

What distance is your typical hunting shot?

Same rifle and caliber. Iím using BT140 in front of 44grn of 2208. Half inch at 100. Shot lots of deer and pigs with this load and nothing has got away.  Iím looking at trying Berger 140 now.
