Cracker of a saturday from the float tube

With the forecast on Saturday 11th looking favourable, myself and another forum member headed to Lake S in Canty. He was on the kayak and I was in my float tube.
Perfect conditions when we got there.

I setup my usual winter rig on the fly rod, an Airflo DI-5 fast sink with 9ft leader, 2ft to first dropper and 3ft to the point fly, a purple boobie with fritz chenille. Its my no-fail for winter lakes. Rainbows love it. Dropper was a red setter until lunch, then changed it to a egg sucking leach afternoon.

Two cracking fish to the net over deep water. Approx 10-15m down in the weeds, on the boobie. A 4.5lb Jack and a 6lb fast-az hen.
