Hi all, im heading south for a few days in mid October, would love to have a go at Thar/Chamois, not sure what time ill have but any help on where to get into some country for a look would be appreciated, i,ll be based in nelson for most of the time, hopefully there,ll be some left after eugene sages heli cull has been through  Shocked

If based in nelson closes place to hunt chamie would be Nelson lakes  or head over Marlborough ways most doc blocks will have a few poking around up high , very low numbers in Richmond range so would not bother in there ,    For tahr you will need to drive about another 5 hrs south

Walk up to cupola hut in Neilson lakes. A few chams running around on the tops up there and loads of country to explore.
