Got to talking to an old ex logger who didnt use his chainsaws
much anymore so ended up buying 2 of his old Oleo macs with a heap of new spare parts.$250 all up.

One with a 24 inch bar, and the largest has a 36 inch bar for the bigger stuff,it also came with a 48 inch bar he said he used for the real big stuff but ive not been game enough to fit and use it.

They have cut up a heap of dozen or so of big gums and oaks in the last 8 years and still going strong.
As said before, its the maintenance thats the key.

Congratulations to the purchase of some good old saws, have never seen a Oleo Mac in Sweden. Have read about them and the general comments are: sturdy as hell but hard to get spare parts for due to some bad dealerships (you seem to have covered the spare parts bit already).

What models of Oleo Mac have you bought?
