GPS map

Which one of the trademe dealers sells the best maps. I want to upgrade my chip to one which has better details on the maps, more like the topo maps rather than the maps supplied. It's for a 62sc. Also looking for a protective case if anyone knows who to purchase off.
Cheers 300

You can download Mr purples maps for free.
Alternatively if you have a smart phone a number of apps give the NZTopo map. I have one for the iPhone, all of the South Island permanaently downloaded for about $5. The gps in the phone is really good. Just battery life is the main concern.

Easier to go diectly to the actual post with the v12, October 2013 instructions and links:
http://gwprojects.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=32317#p32317

Note the map has no river or road names but is still excellent, especially as it is free.

The new version has road and river names as well as other features and is excellent value at $70 on a mSD card with SD adapter.  The author is here on Trade Me.
