Instead of the usual " we want somewhere to hunt, does anyone know somewhere ? "  i saw this 20 mins after it was posted on local Neighbourly.
" We have recently begun to plant a new garden on ********* Road and have a hare and rabbit problem. The hares in particular are trimming and damaging lots of shrubs. We are looking for someone to shoot on our property to reduce this problem. Contact ****** on 021******* if interested to chat."

Talked to the guy and hes got a few pest hares, offering a bottle of wine per hare shot.
Heading round to see the place in a few mins.
Cant say no to free wine  Grin

Saw 2 very large hares just doing a reccy walkround, he said none of those were the" big one".
He might smell a rat if 12 hares appeared, hes only got 64 hectares.

Big ole area of  abandoned apple trees and scrub that he says there is heaps of possums  in sounds a promising place to take my 9 yr old and his  28 gauge.

Hares travel a long way and congregate in large numbers around something tasty.  Cheesy

take out the hares back straps to quickfry with some steak seasoning and wash down with a merlot. sounds like a great place to hunt, look after it and life will be merry for some time to come....sitting in carefully chosen position with .223 with varmit type loads could be pleasant way to spend lazy summer afternoon.
when you go out after possums, consider taking yappy wee dog to keep them up trees, shoot one at a time and pluck while still hot.....if 4 up same tree the others can watch and wait for thier turn Shocked Shocked

Phew nice ad, lucky you!  Smiley I used to have couple places like that, they get shot out quite quickly those hares, don't tend to come back like rabbits!

Yeah hare meat is very underrated here in NZ, while some places around Europe you will be looking at 40EUR for kilo of backstraps! I never eat hares fresh, has to be hanging with skin on (guts out) in fridge for at least a week, than its bloody good eating!  And who says its not has never tasted hare goulash with wild rice... Cool Tongue
