bugger...

Quote:
"Two .. possibly three" poachers have been eaten by lions in a game reserve in Africa.

Human remains were found in South Africa's Sibuya Game Reserve by a ranger, Reuters reported.

It was believed the victims were rhino poachers as an axe and rifle were amongst the remains - poachers "use the rifle to shoot the animal and the axe to remove the horn", Sibuya owner Nick Fox said.

"They strayed into a pride of lions - it's a big pride so they didn't have too much time," Fox told AFP.

"We're not sure how many there were - there's not much left of them."

Nature fights back eh.
A rifle and an axe would normally have you on the winning team... not against a pride of lions!

Theyd make a good dessert after a Wildebeest.

You might say the Lions got their just desserts.

I've come across a few poachers, who were filled with pride on their poaching expeditions. On this one, ....they filled the pride, ..... guess Leo wasn't their star sign?   Roll Eyes

Its in the news only 'cause they are (were) poachers. Smugglers and other people trying illegally to cross the border between S Africa and Mozambique or Botswana are regularly eaten by Lions.  We lost a snorer when camping in a Botswana National Park, doing a Hash House harriers run. He snored like buggery, so was told to camp waaay over there. Away from the rest of us. Middle of the night snores suddenly shut up. Nek minute.......... Sad
