Buck v Zeiss

Got rid of my day night scope as I never shot any deer in the dark with it,always morning or evening and it weighed 3 lb including battery.
I brought a small zeiss 3x9x42 Z6 retical.I zeroed it in to 200yds.Then 4 mornings in a row,no wind, id just fire one cold bore shot on to a black sheet of paper with a I inch white dot in the middle. The last shot on the 4th morning hit about 5 mm below dot, dead on centre, left ,right at 200yds.The actual 4 shot group dead on center for up and down at 200yds.
Now time to get my 1st deer thru the zeiss,as normal, long drive but I was early to my hunting area.So went for a longer 2 hr walk to some clearings.Walking slowly thru the matagori to a big clearing, here was a black shape deer feeding away about 150yds.I watched him for about 10 minuts,he was nice to watch feeding away, nobody annoying him.Hmm iv driven a long way to take some veni home,so boy you coming with me.
I lined him up thru the fine retical of the zeiss on his sholder, resting the 308 on some matagori branchs.Squeezed off the trigger and down he went,i walked over to where I thort he was, well bugger me it took another hour to fined him in a small ditch with long grass, matagori all around him.
Well I delt to him,he was heavy to drag out of the small ditch, lot of fat on him.So got the back wheels and steaks and one sholder in the pack.Heavy little load but I was happy with some veni and my zeiss scope. Now home for some JDs.
