Buying/importing a scope from overseas

Im looking to buy a nikon prostaff target efr AO for the .22.
The usual places like opticsplanet don't ship internationally and it seems youship and co wont touch scopes as they are classed 'firearms'.

I was looking at webyshops but they are looking a little iffy after a bit of digging.

Where is a good place to buy from?

Awesome thanks.
Was about to go with https://www.optics-trade.eu/nz. But opticszone is $10 cheaper and sounds decent

Don't forget to load the SF13 discount on checkout. Once I forgot to load it and finalised the order. Contacted OZ and they still applied the discount.

+1 for The Optic Zone. I have also bought several scopes and a rangefinder with no problems.Just remember to keep it under $400 NZ if you don't want to pay GST or duty.  Wink Wink Wink

Ordered and paid on the 18th (Friday). It was sitting in order processing until Tuesday, shipped Tuesday by fedex and arrived about midday Friday 25th (estimated for '6pm monday'). It was In a slightly larger box full of packing peanuts with no invoice or anything attached besides the address labels.

All in all it was stupidly fast and easy.
Unfortunately I have no idea about the return process and hope I dont have to find out.

Jon at Opticzone handles any warranty issues, should they arise, back thru him.
One of the downsides of buying offshore but if you have saved heaps already the return cost is relatively small in comparison.

Re FedEx - first time I have had experience of them. All previous scopes came by other carriers. My last one arrived in NZ super quick. FedEx paid the gst and bio fees and then I paid them via CC over the phone. No dealing with Customs at all. All pretty impressive up to that stage.
Even though shipping was paid to my door FedEx agreed to hold the scope at their airport depot so I could collect it.
Headed up to Auckland thru the normal motorway gridlock with things made worse by the Puhinui road to the airport being closed due to a crash. What should have been a 1 hour trip took 2 hours.
Arrived at the FedEx depot to find they had given my scope to a local courier despite my arrangement with them to hold it for collection.
I was mighty pissed off. Scope took a further 2 days to arrive at my place.

Hope you are happy with yours.
