Looking to hunt and fish in the Kaimai-mamuku forest park area, recently moved to Matamata. Any advice or info would be much appreciated, or better yet any locals looking for a extra pair of hands on a trip.

Sorry only just looked here, hope youíve had some luck. Your closest entry points are Te Tuhi Road and top of the Kaimai hill - if you want any more info PM me and Iíll give you some pointers. Plenty of animals plenty of area and a couple of huts within a couple of hours of the road ends

haha when you say 'an extra pair of hands' don't you mean an extra pair of feet?  Grin
plenty of animals in there but they know where to hide
