Mini 14 181 Series

I sold a Mini 14 181 Series in the 90s

It had the cocking handle ground off flat.

I would like to buy it back if anyone knows of it regardless off condition.

Cheers

So your looking for your 1 ?
Must have been quite tricky to work the action with no handle  Shocked
I have a 181 I bought for a bit of self taught gun smithing but haven't done any tinkering yet. Of course my one has the handle Smiley

I was culling at the time and I cut the handle off deliberately as it made rifle more comfortable to carry and eliminated rattle of cocking slide.

The cocking handle is a pain in the palm, all the semi autos seem much the same.
I ground it off mine then made a new one and mounted it forward so now it sit just forward of my hand when carrying at the trail.

I have had two models the early one and then the newer 580 series. The early one shot like dinner plate groups at 100 until I had it rebarrelled with a heavier premium barrel then it started giving bolt action accuracy at 100. The newer one wood and blued real nice handy carbine and it would hold 2 inch groups at 100 with hand loads, sometimes better. It was nice to carry when hunting goats probably better to carry than the dpms ar15 I now use.
Why do you want that particular rifle back.
