Boyds stocks in.nz

I really like the look of some of these stocks and was wondering how hard are they yo geting them in nzz and what hoops I have to jump through.
Other questions;
For calculating height of scope when working out zeros is that the bottom of the scope or the middle of the lens?

Has anyone had an issue with their bolt hitting their scope on their cz452 or 455?

Bolt hits scope on my 455 pisses me off.
Only way to stop it would be higher rings or mod the bolt...

I've got a CZ527 .223 and had to get a bit skimmed off the bolt for it to clear the scope. Using the factory CZ rings that came with the gun. Bit annoying but the ring height works alright for my face.

Waddya mean its not edible?

Compounded by a lot of scopes trending nowadays to ginormous ocular lenses.
Have just boughta Weaver 4-16 Grand Slam for my CZ 455 or HW66 and one of the reasons for choosing it was an almost normal proportioned ocular.

As for getting them into NZ that is more difficult nowadays. Boyds used to list a lot of their stocks for <US$100. 100 bucks US is the point where US requires a full on export permit which is expensive. Many years ago it used to be only 75 bucks.
Boyds also don't list many <US$100 stocks these days and their specials seldom bring the stocks that interest me under US$100.
They also have a rep of being hard to deal with particularly if you run into problems ie buyers have ordered an under 100 buck stock, order accepted by Boyds, CC transaction done, then buyer informed item out of stock. Comms are pretty bad.

Having said that, the one Boyds stock I brought in was hassle free in the transaction and totally drop in. A nice stock, a tad heavy maybe.

Here is a guy importing them http://www.gunrack.co.nz

I know nothing about him.

I've had no problems importing from Boyds in the past, but that was before all the import/export BS of the past 2 or 3 years. Much easier to order one through Gunrack as per the above post. Works out very little more than what I paid direct, and with none of the possible hassles. Definitely recommend Gunrack
