Hey fellas I'm planning on hitting the canals in a couple weeks after a Tahr hunt.

What rigs would u recommend for this time of the year? Glo bugs or softies? And what size leader do u reccomend?

Any other tips?

Cheers!!

loads of ways to do it....personally we set up a running rig with leader of a meter of say 8lb nylon with single hook about the size of last joint of finger. we use either worms or cooked shrimps (like you have in cocktail sauce at parties) cast slightly downstream so current doesnt shift it then sit and wait...take LARGE net as if you manage a big trout you wont want to be mucking around with a small landing net and light line.
