Im far from decent but i started off learning the basic quack. Just the single one. Practised it for hours till it sounded good then muscle memory takes over. Once you have that down then the rest is just variations of tempo and and how many times you quack. Just my 2 cents

.308, anything else is just cruel

three blind mice....thats the speed you want...take loaf of bread down to local park and sit quietly practicing on park bench...the ducks will soon show you if you not doing it right.
less is better than more...if strings sound like crap just single quack with odd bit of chatter. plenty of how tos in the library...forget 3/4 of the crap you will see on uboob etc and ask the local ducks.

Check that your reeds and wedges haven't move and put it out of tune. Try moving them around maybe? I draw a line with a ball point pen on wedge around reeds when i got it humming, that way i know if its out of tune. or might have the smallest bit a crap between the reeds?

less is often more with calling, a lot of people call too much. main calls you should be using the are the short and excited 'greeting call' the 'feeding chuckle' (blow in to call tick-a tick-a ticka for 5 seconds or so). The 'come back call' is essentially a series of drawn out notes pleading the ducks to 'come back' to your spread. Although this is not brilliant and not fit for purpose i put a short vid on my Facebook page - greeting call and feeding chuckle. may help in some way - https://www.facebook.com/chaseandgathernz/videos/246518945895856/

Be fit & be well.
