Plastic drainpipe araldited to a $2 phone case works perfectly. I turned out the inside of the pipe so it is an easy slide fit over the eye piece of my spotter.

The remote control goes in the phone's earphone jack and avoids any camera shake from touching it. They are as cheap as chips off AliExpress.

My latest project entails a web cam araldited into a bit of pipe that slides onto the spotter eye piece. The USB cable from the webcam plugs into an OTG connection on a tablet for easier viewing. Just hit the relevant buttons on the screen to take photos or make a video.

With a long cable you can stay well out of view and be warm drinking coffee while remotely monitoring events  Wink

Great setup Smiley. Next step up would be FPV camera and 2.4 ghz 5 watt long range transmitter/receiver setup from Ali Express for $75. Beam the goings on of whatever slip/clearing back to the hut. Stay in bed reading the pile of tatty rod and rifle mags till something interesting turns up on the video screen in the hut Wink

Would something like this work?

AliExpress transmitter receiver
Or this
Camera transmitter

They are 5.8 GHz, is there anything special about 2.4GHz?

Yep. Those are the puppies.
Frequency: nothing special with 2.4, just is a tad better at getting through bush than 5.8.
If you can, try and find one with a higher tx output wattage or you might as well stay tucked up out of sight with a long micro usb cable  to your viewing tablet.  Wink
Try searching for 'long range fpv' and the powerful units will show up. Cool
