Very interesting read - unfortunately, never been there.

I have heard all manner of stories though - true or not, hard to say.

Until someone claims that $100,000 I guess you could put it in the same category as the Moon Landings - did they/didn't they ??

Itís amazing that the $100 000 is still up for grabs after all the Moose should be easy to find. All you have to do is locate the Unicorns that they herd up with !!! Piece of pss !! Cool

haha.  Smiley Moose at the Waikoiu river on south coast west of Tuatapere.BULL###T. The tree he talks about is Broadleaf which the red deer strip out around this area. And Red deer do have dew claws, they show in deep mud. A decent size red stag could reach up 8 foot, they stand on rear legs to reach, and have large marks size of a yearling cattle beast

It's amazing what you see when you want it to be something.
The $64 question is: IF you saw the moose would you shoot it or take a picture? (presuming both options being equally available etc)

Without good mates the "great outdoors" is simply the "big outside"

Which reminds me - bloody sure I saw some Moa tracks up the Cobb Valley when I was trapping there during the sixties/seventies.
I also found old Chaffey's last gold diggings before he snuffed it - and I've got the map right here in my head.

I'm a valuable person.
