2004 Hilux milage

Just wondering.
I have a 04 Hilux and the clock has just over 381k on it.
I was looking at trading it in and was first offered only $4500 then 5 minutes later was offered $6500 and was told that the mileage was to high. The vehicle belonged to a company before I owned it.
Just wondering what peoples thoughts were on the mileage, is it to high??.
What are theses vehicles actually worth??

Id think that condition and service history would have a greater influence on price than millage, especially for that year Hilux.

Considering you were offered 6.5k could suggest the dealer would be looking around 10 12k region?

As a comparison, I paid 16.5 for mine a few years ago with 230k on the clock. It was in excellent condition at the time.

Thanks Hayden
I paid 20k for it nearly 5 years ago it had just over 315k on it.
It is still in very good condition.
It has seen some of road by not serious more like dirt tracks than anything else.

If it's a SR5 double cab 4wd then I would say $10-12k, but that's retail so as a tade in around $6-8k?

Sounds real high to me.. dreaming.

There is no way its doesnt need something replaced and there is no way a vehicle of that high km will not end up costing you a lot of money to keep running, probabley monthly.

Unless you leave it parked in the driveway.  Smiley

I  was in a garage in Timaru a few yrs ago, they had a 93 Nissan patrol short wheel base getting its 4.2 tdi engine overhauled.Machanic said go look at the speedo, woow it had 730000ks on the clock and been on the farm from brand new.Been used around the farm a lot for many yrs.12k for a overhaul,it must have been used for a lot of long trips as well.Good strong engines tho.
