A big weekend

Tough weekend but someone has to do it, fishing comp Sat with Dad, Grandad and two of the three granddaughters deciding no sleep or very little would be the best way to start it off.
0400hrs saw "Attitude" the first boat to slide into the quickly ebbing tide and safely anchor out in the basin ready for the 0645 start, other boats quickly followed.
Prize giving was keenly anticipated by the two girls who had landed some reasonable fish, we went home with Darcie winning a very nice soft bait rod and reel and the rest of us left with several boxes with various goodies inside.
Sunday was another nice day so Mike decided to take Grandma and myself out for a couple of hours of relaxing fishing, the 3 grandkids kept it lively with all of them landing snapper and a few other species.
Grandmas highlight was landing several snapper, a couple of Blue cod and getting to observe her eldest son teaching the next generation on how to work as a team and a few tricks of the trade in setting lines, hauling and restacking the boxes.
All in All a great weekend, cant keep them away from water even when washing the boat and trailer.
