Great show! You certainly made amends, what a huge old stag. Couldn't believe the antler length! Thought Willies comments regarding herd management were spot on, well done & keep up the good work. Dunno how your bodies handle it though Shocked

good show
but be aware that stags like that are long gone under the strop as waro is in full swing

Bloody awesome show again , was good to see you actually missed one like the rest of us ...haha , you boys are tough alright and cover the miles , your ethics on hunting are spot on as are your opinions on WARO and herd management for the good old foot hunter , the big heads are few and far between and potentially doomed unless venison recovery via helicopters has some major rule changes and area control.
Willie spoke some very true words that every hunter really needs to listen to , there are thousands of Deerstalkers in this country how come we cant come together and put some real proposals to the Government to protect the herds and sport for future generations ????

Great show as usual , what make of bipod were you using?
One thing that worries me is, when you show small mobs of animals , that some nob from DOC will think there are too many and send in the gunships

Yep, Fantastic show once again fellas. You folks are really lifting the bar as far as hunting shows go. Willie was spot on with his herd management comments. It's a valuable resource for ALL New Zealanders.
Hey Willie, ever thought of moving into politics? I could see you as the Minister of Conservation  Wink

Willy's overall view on hunting and philosophy on game management were as enjoyable as the hunting itself.

As the public face of hunting I think it's important we front a good show and paint a wider picture than merely pulling the trigger.

Just a reminder that the westcoast area in that hunt is closed to all hunting, helicopter and foot hunting, who controls it.

Thanks lass.  Even got Mrs enjoying this season.  She doesn't hunt much but loves tramping and all the way you guys tell the story makes for a good adventure regardless of the hunting.  She is keen to get out again soon.. for a "walk".  No doubt I'll bring along my bang stick
