Hi,

Today I was walking my dogs and when they jumped in water this fish was threw out of water.

it was about 3 cm long.

I managed to release the fish back in water and he went happy.

So, what fish is it?
Thanks,
Cod

Looks a bit like a Rudd? But quite slender for one of those. It's not a Mullet.

Possibly a rudd where did it come from?
the Juveniles can be slender like that, and colouration
is dependant on age and water.

Anyway, it was a monster Cod. Did you eat it all at once.  Smiley

Aren't they a bit of a pest. Very distructive. The coarse fishers in chch have all taken note of the location if they didn't know about it already. I wonder what else is in that coloured water.
