I take it you're talking a 7mm version?

Use them in my .280 Ackley and they go well. Beware they do not shoot well in many guns- can be finicky

Sorry mainly referring to 270. Ive always used 130's, have been using barnes ttsx.  Wicked close up. Not happy with longer range accuracy and have heard they pencil thru at longer range as well.

Generally need a faster twist barrel though you can sure try them. Ryansonghurst on here shoots them I think.
I shoot 130gr berger classic hunters and these are great at range. 145greldx with superformance powder is rumored to be 'next level'

ELD-X is better and ELD-M better still at long range and low velocity. ABLR has great BC, but the construction is wrong for good terminal performance at low velocity. They rely on BC to try to retain velocity rather than being designed to perform correctly when going slowly. Marketing over performance. And they're eye wateringly expensive too.

I use ELD-X in my .284 Win as that's a 400m rifle, and ELD-M in my .300 Win Mag as its for longer range hunting.

Perhaps so, but the ELD-M is the class of the field for long range hunting. LRAB is a controlled expansion bullet and will never be as good at long range.

Nosler have it badly wrong when the ELD-M is a far better LR offering and wasn't even designed for hunting. If high BCs float your boat, the ELDs are as good as as the ABLR, but they perform better.

Sadly for .270 owners the projectile manufacturers have offered little in the way if high BC options. Perhaps that's why ABLR keeps attracting people in .270?

I use them in a 270, love them especially when at longer distances, quite fragile up close but never been a problem
