Rabbit shooting for young family in Canterbury

Hi all,

Looking to introduce the kids to hunting. Am newish to Canterbury so after some advice on where I could take the kids to have a crack at some rabbits.

Rangiora DOC issues a small game permits for rabbits or they at least did a while ago...flick them an email and see what happens  Cool

drive to a farm, knock on door, friendly handshake and a gidday and try your luck. if the cocky turns you down Go to next farm and repeat.

also helps to have a youngster at foot ya for a bita guilt Grin

I know its a bit of a drive to the Mckenzie country,but find a farm stay cottage on the net down here.Im sure youll get a few bunnies to shoot.Bring 500rd pkt. Wink
  

Shot a few deer,caugth some big trout and salmon
