lightweight/small summer sleeping bag?

Evening team,

Im in the market for a new sleeping bag, after something for the warmer months on the tops. Would like something that is lightish and wil pack down fairly small? down to about the 0 degree mark. any suggestions? or am I asking to much? sick of lugging my massive down bag around at thus time of year and end up sleeing on it rather than in it!

cheers

I purchased a sea to summit micro 3 which is awesome and pretty close to your specs. I have had a couple of colder nights in the bag but am comfortable to sleep with my kuiu superdown for extra warmth.

This time of year you will pick one up from the likes of bivouac when they have a sale.

I bought a Mountain Designs Travelite 330 some years ago when Mountain Designs was here in NZ, it packs down to nothing, very warm.

Looking through Mountain Designs I see they have this model as the closest.

Good bags... I'd certainly buy another!

I use this bag all year round, a bit cold in winter but that why thermals were invented Wink I use it for hunting as well as SAR operations.

While in Europe recently I got one of these:

http://sleepingbags-cumulus.eu/uk/categories/sleeping-systems/quilt-250?gid=53&v...

Have only used it in huts so far, but it's very warm. Possibly warmer than the rating suggests. I got one made with an extra baffle, as I'm too tall for the standard size. Packs up very small and is light! Very well made. Not very roomy, but I sleep well. If you can handle a quilt, I recommend it. They have comforters too which look interesting. Good luck!

Try a quilt would be my advice.

I use a Macpac epic all year round, light weight, good material and packs small. I just layer up during the colder months

The Exped UltraLite 500 is good bag and only weighs about 800gms. Bivouac have 25% off Exped sleeping bags at present. The Long suits taller blokes and is $411.00 until Xmas. Packs down real small.

Yeah I've got a Exped 300 Ultra light, great light weight bags and combine with a light weight down jacket & pants when it gets really cold, buy a small cramsack and they pack down amazingly small.
