lost my net in the west coast jungle, it was a cheapish knotless with scales, now what are peoples thoughts on knotless? I reckon it took a lot more of the fishs slime off them than the old skool knotted, it always stunk of fish afterwards, I'll probably get mcleans but what size? cheers

No contest, the McLean telescopic weigh in standard size is just superb! The extra reach is fantastic netting from a bank, solo, or when the bugger dives into weed...

I had one yeah they're good, what net type are you using, knotless, knotted, rubber ? the knotted definetly handles the jungle bashing better than the knotless

The micro mesh is best, rubber too stiff snd heavy.

Had to get a telescopic net to reach the fish at the end of my Spey rod and the telescopic McLean job is great. Get a mesh scabbard at the same time ....very light and the water flows through it when submerged.

So you went with the rubber one (if my blurry sleep-deprived eyes could be trusted!). How is that working out for you? I hear they have a fair bit more drag in the current, but I hear ya regarding the fish smell. If it smells, logic suggests it's due to slime being left behind on the net.

The wake up beeps were much appreciated btw, had no alarm clock  Cheesy

Na I'm just using my old collapsable/telescopic, its getting pretty slogged out but it works for now. Caught a couple of small fish up the top, river is in a huge changing period, very few pools ,no holding water, had changed a lot since last year, How did you get on? how far did ya get? Was all good tho,
