Most people drive in, once you get a price you'll find out why. If you fly, take a spare arm and a leg for payment.  Grin Grin

Ok I'll call and find out. I've had prices for plenty other areas just not the havelock. Most prices were between 1400-1800. Is this the sorta thing your saying is expensive?

Havelock does get hunted heavily, as others have said you can 4wd well up to the headwaters. Less hunted is the clyde, as the way in is more challenging.  Could chopper into McCoy hut , plenty of country to hunt. Have heard multiple times it is cheaper to fly in from west-coast side (james scott).

Malcolm Prouting (Station Air) is the closest. He will keep you entertained Cheesy
His Notar is lovely to fly in and doesn't upset the animals too much.

Malcolm Prouting, Station Air, 03 6963738. Excellent service, knows the area well, knows the animals even better. And will usually be able to pull you out in pretty shitty weather, something you can't always do if you use a West Coast operator.
