advice 7mm rem mag--> 338 RUM

Gents,

I have a surplus Steyr 7mm Rem mag and was wondering how hard it would be to reuse the action and move up to a 338 RUM.

https://www.guncity.com/7mm-rem-mag-steyr-pro-hunt-stainless-synthetic-247666

Thoughts on RUM was it is 6mm longer case length and i think the bolt has room to be machined out to fit slightly wider case

Is it do-able whats involved?

thanks

mag length would need to be checked for the longer 338 pill plus longer case, Bolt face is the same on the RUM

I check mag length have 92mm or 3.62"(inch)
Saami has the 338 RUM as 3.6" so dont have allot of space but enough and NOT to fussed if its a single shot. anyone used a suppressor on .338lapua / edge / RUM whats the recoil like after?
