Transfer and gearbox take different oils. Why put a hose to mix it all up. Just fix it and replace the seal between the transfer and gearbox.
Do it once and do it right.

yeah its micky way of doing it. its not a massive job to drop the transfer box off and repair.
tho some can run the same oil in both.

G'day Fella's,

Luckily dopey, the G/Box and T/Case both use gear oil, so that isn't an issue.

A Kiwi mate of mine, was the first one that told me about this Mickey Mouse way of doing it...................

They usually both take standard 80/90 gear oil.  leaks between them are pretty much standard just check and topup every 1000km and its algud.

G'Day Fella's,

Thanks for that advice gonehuntin.
It's nice to have a positive comment on this forum, rather than the usual sarcasm.

Regards

There is nothing in this thread that is sarcasm.

You asked for advice and some guys were kind enough to take the time to post a reply, which you didnt want to take.
Cambo s (who i dont know) advice i have followed before as i know he is or was a Toyota mechanic.

I'm glad he's not my Mechanic, if he didn't even know this.

Salmoner, can you please show me, where I asked for any advice?
Also, you only confirmed to all, that sarcasm flow's freely around here.

Doh!

Ditto to this wassup08.......................

Also, I'm not sensitive to rational feedback or comments, when it's required or I actually ask for it but dumb comments and sarcasm is another thing.
