Berger 175 elite hunter load info?

Hi guys
Just wondering if anyone has any load info for the new Berger 175 elite hunter projectiles? Iíve got a load sorted and itís quite accurate but itís only doing 2700 fps I would like it to be going a bit faster for long range shooting. Iím shooting a suppressed tikka 7mm rem mag. The load so far is 71gr of 2225.

Don't have any experience with those projectiles, but you're using the right powder. Should be able to get at least 2800 fps before pressure signs (assuming a 24" or longer barrel).

With 162/168gr projectiles the common load is 73-74gr 2225, so you can possibly go a grain or two higher.
For long range shooting I would take accuracy over velocity anyday.

Cheers for the feed back guys. I just went down the range and tried some I had loaded @ 74gr of 2225 and shot 2 consistent 21mm 3 shot groups with no pressure signs. From the height difference from my 71gr load Iíd say Iím doing around 2800fps with the 74grains.

So I think Iím on a winner now with these Berger 175 elite hunter projectiles. Itís taken a good hundred rounds or so but things are looking good. My load to date is 74gr of 2225 cci LM primers, bullet is seated 10 Thou from the lands. (This made a big difference). Speed wise im getting 2925fps out of it. Iíve shot it out to 865 yards last night with great results. There is not a lot of load data around for this projectile so hope this helps anyone wanting to try them. The rifle Iím shooting is a suppressed Tikka 7mm Rem Mag.

Not yet Stug will keep you posted over the next week or so with that one. I had good accuracy with 71gr but was only doing 2715 fps. To get that extra speed and maintain accuracy took a lot of mucking around. Found them to be very temperamental. I can do a bit more fine tuning later with it too.

So Iíve just got back from a week in the Kawekas and got a chance to try out my new rifle with these 175 elite hunter projectiles. The results of these bullets where pretty good and they certainly pack a punch. The exit wound on the shoulder left about a 2inch hole,as for the damage on the inside I was pretty happy with that too. Basically there wasnít really an internal organ I could recognise, all of the deers engine room was just jelly. Iím quite happy with them so far.
