Usually the odd one caught off the beach around this time I think. Any turned up yet that you've heard of?.

Unusually absent this spring that I know of, seas have been mostly dirty though. By this time last year plenty had been caught, mostly 5-10 lb models. The pressure on the local wild salmon fishery has increased a lot after publicity surrounding the hatchery salmon releases yet hardly any fin clipped fish have been caught.

Sh...t, thats not really what we want to hear Puddleduck. As I understand it some of those fish feed in that area and around the peninsula before heading up the rivers.It was the same as Rakaia, naff all hatchery fish about considering the releases made. Heres hoping .
