Semi for clays

Hi guys. Ive grown upwards a lot recently (Im 15) and my current gun is too small for me. Its a sporting gun that Ive been shooting clays well with. What would the downsides be of using a beretta semi as a gun for competitive clay target shooting?
Cheers

none at all for skeet or DTL, but when it comes to sporting , five stand etc , your at a bit of a disadvantage having only one barrel and one choke. one of your two shots is either going to be too tight or too open for the target. Many experienced shooters use them with good results . you do come under more intense safety scrutiny on the range though

Yep, seen a few fellas using semi's with chambers closed, safetys off etc. Makes people a bit touchy around others with semi's, even if theyre safe. Still deciding what Im gonna do yet, do really want a gun for ducks and whatever else I wont use a rifle for. Cheers
