Wondering what sort of money to spend on one of these.

There's a hole heap of models ranging from $200 ish to $1500.
I was thinking the 2500 that goes for around $300 should be all I need to measure a few crucial factors when at the range or in the field.

What's everyone else using?

Wind velocity (NB. only where -you- are..), temp and station pressure are the main variables so you don't really need to go for the top end models, unless you want the integrated ballistic calcs.

Not that my 3500 gets much use but it's more than adequate for what I need
