Mid winter so you'll need alpine snow experience.
Based round either Aoraki Rangitata or MacAuley depending on snow conditions.
You will need to be comfortable in crampons and ice axe.
I have a 4wd and some experience.
Not a trip for newbies to the snow really.

It's a hard lump you get.  Occurs more often when you are older.

Yep looks like that plan will have to change.
May be a West Coast deer hunt instead.
We'll see.

Ash,only a inch of snow in Tahr City this morning,but darn freezing.We v had a lot of rain,so river crossings out. Roll Eyes
